The Summer Institute at Wallenberg
Hall: Using ePortfolios for Teaching, Learning, and
Assessment

What: The Institute at Wallenberg
Hall:
Using ePortfolios for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment
Electronic learning portfolios (ePortfolios) are more
than just a technology: they imply a process of planning,
keeping track of, making sense of, and sharing evidence
of learning and performance. Using ePortfolios well requires
embracing a set of practices and an understanding of
learning and reflection called Folio Thinking.
In this
two day workshop, participants will have the opportunity
to actively explore how ePortfolios and Folio Thinking
can support integrative learning, demonstrate learning
outcomes, and make teaching and learning visible. Through
interactive discussions and activities addressing the
issues and challenges relating to ePortfolio adoption
and implementation, participants will examine a range
of ePortfolio case studies and tools, and develop a
plan for putting ePortfolios into practice on their own
campuses.
Who Should Participate: Faculty, administrators,
academic technologists, staff and researchers in higher
education.
Members from
industry
who are interested in learning more about the needs and
applications of ePortfolio tools in the classroom and
higher education environments.
